Saturday August 9th 5pm A fundraiser for the East Bloomfield Historical Society Celebrating the Holloway House Restaurants 200th Anniversary Do not miss out on this gala event of the decade!
|
We are pleased to announce that the Holloway House Restaurant is celebrating its
200th Anniversary this year! They have also won the 2008 Annual Silver Spoon
Award from the New York State Restaurant Association.
These once-in-a-lifetime events have inspired us to celebrate by having a dinner
celebration and fundraiser to benefit the East Bloomfield Historical Society during the
town wide History Days:1808-1869.
Join us on August 9th starting at 5pm for an evening you will never forget. Granger
Homestead will be taking all of our guests on a horse drawn carriage ride around
the majestic park located across the street.
Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln will be our hosts, two talented professional actors from Chicago
that have toured the country as the famous couple. Other historical figures will be in
attendance, such as Nathaniel Rochester (portrayed by Canandaigua National
Bank CEO George Hamlin), Frederick Douglass, Abner Adam, Susan B.
Anthony and more.
Every guest will receive a special glass inscribed with their name, following
in the Holloway House's past tradition of supplying a personal glass for
frequent diners!
The restaurant will be pulling out all of the stops and serving an amazing five
"plates" course meal. The entertaining and delectable dinner will, of course, be
followed by equally delicious desserts. The ticket price is $95 per person and will
help the East Bloomfield Historical Society with much needed repairs to their beautiful
building located nearby.
We sincerely hope you will attend and encourage everyone to attend in period
costume or formal attire, on August 9th as we raise our glasses in celebration.
Please be sure to contact EBHS or the Holloway House Restaurant as seating is
limited. (585)657-7120.
